you even wondered what the symbols on Playstation controller mean? According to
Teiyu Goto, Sony designer responsible for the controller, they were meant to
express the meaning of their functions.
The
triangle refers to viewpoint, it represent one's head or direction.
Square
refers to a piece of paper, it represent menus or documents.
The
circle (maru) represents “yes”.
The X (batsu) represents “no”.
